Beginning in January 2012
Beginning in January 2012
On January 8, 2012 we will offer two adult Sunday school classes: the Wired Word (in the Library) and theCORE (in room 202).
Wired Word will be examining topics from the news from a Chris-tian perspective. It explores what it means to be a Christian in our world today and helps participants integrate their faith with some of the chal-lenging issues we face daily. This is a discussion oriented class, often filled with lively debate. Please join us in the Library and share your per-spective!
theCORE is more of a lecture oriented class which revolves around the core aspects of Christian living: Scripture and Discipleship. During the month of January, Mike Haddox and Julia Fenn will be teach-ing a class on the book of Jonah. Through the book of Jonah, we see sailors, a king, and an entire city (even the animals), turning back to God. However, the one man who seems to have the hardest heart is man who carried the title of prophet. We will spend four weeks learning about the grace of God and the danger of interpreting that grace only within the context of our life.
